superjam remixed

July 14th, 2008

in a dickensian twist of events, timonium will actually be opening for this thursday’s show instead of languis. instead, languis be DJing. timonium will be debuting all new songs that are not even recorded yet. plus a bailter space cover.

the songs will be ambientish. if the timonium drummer is out of town, that makes the songs a lot more ambient. but will there still be beats? yes ma’am, but they are coming from a surprise source(s). if timonium bass player is also out of town, will there be low-end? again, yes.

here is a rough rough rough demo recorded live at james’ house of one of the brand new songs they will be playing called childe exited

unrecognizable glow

July 3rd, 2008

the second show that unrecognizable now will play in los angeles will be part of an all-night event sponsored by the city of santa monica.  it’s on saturday, july 19th. the mega-event is called glow and it will be awesome, free, and have lots of stuff to do. but the part that unrecnow is in is called tonalism and it’s at the carousel on the santa monica pier.

tonalism was started by pehr and dublab, the most awesome online radio station. the first tonalism was an all-night ambient sound/visual experience at pehrspace, the second tonalism was outside under a bridge in downtown los angeles at farmlab (coincidentally not related to dublab even though they sound similar), and a few thousand people came. this will be the third tonalism.

it’s based on an ambient compilation that pehr put out way back when. the cd is out of print but you can still get it on itunes.
