most of the members of timonium and divisadero have formed a strange project/ensemble/supergroup and they will be performing inside of swörk coffee for the eagle rock music festival. this is where pehrspace has a stage for the day, it’s a collaborative event called pehriscope (i didn’t think of it or plan it or arrange it, but i love it.) it is free so come on over, we are playing around 9ish.
plus duh it is an awesome festival and if you get sick of our music you can go to see tons of other bands by just walking down the street. but i think you’ll like it. it’s been sounding great at practice, and practices have been ego-free and collaborative in the correct way; i imagine this is what the first few practices must have felt like for asia. everyone has been so nice and shown up on time.
our supergroup will be playing a composed (not improv) score to an approx 30 minute film by pehr’s own ryan connor (sublamp). here is a sample of some of his video work below (more videos), but we’re playing the score to a brand new film that is debuting for the show.
